

Service: Jim's wishes were for him to be remembered in the hearts by all who loved him and requested no memorial or funeral to be held. Instead he wants everyone to look into their hearts with remembrance of all the joy and love he felt for each of you.

Jim met the love of his life, Denise, in 1974. He married his forever love on Jan. 6, 1979. Jim welcomed his beloved son, Jesse James Church, into the world on March 19, 1981. Jim served two terms in the 101st Airborne in the United States Army, and was a proud United States veteran. Jim relocated his family to the forever home in the state of Texas in 1985. Jim was a proud Texan and would never consider relocating anywhere else. Once his feet landed on Texas soil.
Jim was founder and president of Lucky 13 Car Club of Texas. Jim had three passions in life: his wife, Denise; his son, Jesse; and customizing vintage cars. There was not a car that Jim couldn't customize. With his most beloved car being Maybelline, a 1951 Mercury.
Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Francis Church; Charles and Leona Cooper-Church; his father, James Henry Church; mother, Rose Marie Cooper-Church; and his beloved mother-in-law, Barbara A. Tockes-Bloompott, whom he called his mom.
Survivors: Jim leaves behind his beloved wife, Denise Church; cherished son, Jesse James Church; stepmother, Donna Church; sisters, Becky Church, Linda Church-Martin and Cindy Church; brother, Marc Church; his father-in-law, Wilbur "Bill" Bloompott; many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great -nephews; as well as a long list of friends that he considered family.
