

Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Ft. Worth, 5001 NE Loop 820, Fort Worth, with interment to follow at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Fort Worth on April 13, 1932. He grew up in Fort Worth, graduating from Paschal High School. James served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Betty Joyner in September of 1955. She died on April 15, 1978 and on June 4, 1982 he married Doris Madden. He worked for 40 years for Union Pacific Railroad. He was a loyal and dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Fort Worth where he was known as the Cookie Man for the Texas sized chocolate chip cookies he made for many church events.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Beverly.
Survivors: He is survived by wife, Doris Madden Crouch; brother, Charlie Crouch and wife Barbara; sister-in-law, Sherry Crouch; daughters, Linda Crouch and companion Lynn Chapman, Shirley Kahle and husband Brian; stepdaughter, Jane Madden; stepson, Paul R. Madden III; granddaughter, Jennifer Kirk and husband Dennis; great grandchildren; Johnathan Clark, Arian Kirk and Karisma Kirk, and many loving cousins and friends.
