Deacon James Arthur Haliburton Sr.

A Visitation for Deacon James Haliburton, Sr. will take place on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 1:00 pm-7:00 pm at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors located 4000 Miller Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76119. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2022 10:00 am at Bibleway Baptist Church located at 3809 Waldorf Street Fort Worth, TX 76119. The Interment will be on Thursday, August 4, 2022 11:00 am at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. Dallas, TX 75211.

James was born on October 23, 1934 to David and Mary Lee Haliburton in Waco, TX. James attended school in Waco and graduated from AJ Moore High School. After high school, he attended Paul Quinn College where he played football and obtained his Associate Degree. He then served in the United States Air Force. James later married- Evelyn Smith, and to this union one child was born, James Arthur, Jr. James was employed as a custodian with Tarrant County Community College, until he retired. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, avid watcher of CNN News and very active in the church. For over 20 years, James served on the Deacon Board, was a member of the Brotherhood and Male Chorus and a great supported of Pastor Walker and the entire Bibleway Baptist Church family.

James leaves to cherish his memory: his son, James Jr. sisters, Lillie B. and Carolyn Walker and a host of other family, friends and church family.
