

A private graveside service will be held for the family in Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth.
Memorial donations may be made in Jim's honor to Christ Haven Children's Home, 4200 Keller Haslet Rd, Keller, TX 76244.
Jim was born on November 28, 1933 in Fort Worth to his parents, Lloyd and Georgia Mabe. He graduated from Poly High School and Texas Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Minor in Business Management in January 1956. On February 6, 1956, he was called to enter the United States Army and he proudly served until 1958 and then served in the Army Reserves until 1963. Jim and his father owned and operated Mabe Office Supply for 43 years. Jim served the Lord from the time he was baptized at age 12. He had a beautiful tenor voice and lead singing all his life in church.
Jim adored his family and is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Barbara "Sue" Mabe; sons, James Lloyd, Jr., and wife, Sheri; and Johnny DeLay; 5 grandchildren, Jacqueline and husband, Johnny Hollingsworth, James "Trey" Lloyd Mabe, III, Jessica Mabe, Brenn and husband, Mario Salinas and their children, Brecken, Abigail, Jaylynn, and Koby, Rachel and husband, Michael Braddock and their children, Kaine and Kora.
