James Maurice McKee

James Maurice McKee, a devoted husband, father, pappy, and friend, passed away surrounded by his loving family on September 8, 2022, in Arlington, Texas. He was born September 18, 1954, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Victor Maurice McKee and Annie May Alford.

James graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, but he was a true Aggie at heart. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He retired from AT&T as an Outside Plant Engineer where he worked for forty-three years. James was a proud Texan who enjoyed fly fishing, camping, and listening to live Texas country music. His witty sense of humor brought a smile to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jay Micheal McKee. He is survived by his wife Cheryl McKee, sister Shela Daniel, daughter Courtney Leslie and husband Logan, stepson Clinton Williams and fiance Crystal Kearney, step daughter Tiffani Massa and husband Greg, as well as four grandchildren, Alexander, Andrew, Malori and Sawyer. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

A funeral service for James will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
