Born in Emporia, KS he was the son of Raymond and Bernadine Schultz. He graduated Olpe High School in 1961. He served in the Air Force from 1962-1965. He spent the largest part of his career as a mechanic, machinist, and supervisor at the TXU power plant where he retired from in 1992.
He was a member of St Jude Catholic Church for 37 years. He served as a member of the Knights of Columbus, and as an usher. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, raising his cattle, and being on a John Deere tractor on his farm. He will be remembered as a hard worker, mentor, family man, and avid church member. He will also be thought of as the man who could fix anything given the time.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Schultz; children, Robert Schultz and wife Lisa, and Karen Melton; grandchildren, Kelsey Melton, Karly Melton, Jaecob Schultz, and Madison Schultz; his sisters, Carol Flott and her husband, John, and Marge Carlson and her husband, Gerry; and 3 nephews, and 4 great nieces.
