James "J.D." Wilson

Visitation to be held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 10:00 am. Both services will be held at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow the funeral service at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

J.D. was born on January 20, 1927, to parents Marion and Una Wilson in Saint Jo, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 75 years, Vera Wilson and brother, E.G. Wilson.

He is survived by his children, James Wilson and wife Tanya, Gene Wilson and wife Brenda, Kathy Wilson, Dan Wilson and wife Debra and Vana Whitehead and husband Harold; 15 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a long time member of Masonic Lodge #1244. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed his time on his three ranches and farming. He and Vera had a love for all animals.

Visitation will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm, Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76148.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 am, Monday, November 18, 2019 at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76148.
