My dear sweet Renee- I remember the first time we met. It was at a little antique mall where you had a booth. We got to talking and became FAST friends. I spent a lot of time at your house, and you always made me feel welcome. We got a booth together at the antique mall in Burleson. What a fun time that was. We took a trip (just you and me) to Graceland. Oh what a great time we had, and how we LOVED Elvis. You made me see my worth when I had NONE. You saw things in me I never could see and for that I’m truly grateful. 
I remember your church was putting on a play and needed some primitive antiques, and I loaned you some and it was such a great feeling to get to do that for you and your church. You were loved by all who knew you. My heart is broken into a million pieces with you gone, but your work here was done and it was time to be with Jesus. I know the Angels rejoiced upon your arrival. How glorious that day was. I will NEVER forget you and will see you again soon. I loved you dearly and I thank you for all you did for me through out the years. You have many stars in your crown 👑

Renee and I felt we had known and cared for each other for 72 years; being born same day, same small dusty oil town hospital, and living our first 18 years a few blocks from each other. She was crazy about the singer, Wayne Newton, and his song Danke Shoen . She always had a selfless heart toward people and animals. And she took on every life challenging obstacle with a prayer and a plan. Some plans fell through, but with  a smile and her laugh and tenacity she would push thru to the next plan. Her confidence in the midst of difficulties was astounding at times. Instead of pulling into herself, she would contemplate the angles, and then find a way to reach out to help another. Her Rock was Jesus whether caring for a dying loved one or singing in the church choir.  She loved greatly and paid attention to the details needed to make every one feel unique. I have a  feeling she may be advising Our Lord on the design of my mansion and your’s. I know she is absolutely giggly seeing her dad and mom, and son, Daniel. We miss you, Renee, but will see you soon.

When I first opened my medical practice in Fort Worth in 1978 in the office of Dr. Gerald Mitchell, Jancy and Debbie were the office staff.  Jancy had a ready laugh that made me and the patients immediately comfortable. We remained friends even after I established my own private practice.  She suffered severely when her first husband divorced her. 
Later she married Roy Carlson. Roy and I occasionally fished together on lake Ray Roberts. For a while Jancy and Roy were members of the same church I attended. 
While we were not close socially, Jancy's activities were regularly reported to Marie and me by Debbie Lauterbach, and Mary McCarty. 
It is always sad to lose a friend you worked with even if it has been decades since you last worked together.  Her children are in our prayers at this time of their sudden loss.

I met Renee when we walked the Camino in 2014. She always wandered off to collect stamps for her Camino passport & I wondered why! When we reached Santiago de Compostela, she had built an incredible collection! I started to hang back with her & we laughed & lollygagged & had a ball! It was then that I learned my "lesson of the Camino" which was that sometimes, "finishing last" is much more fun than "finishing first!" I will always remember Renee for that! And who else would I go driving on the beach with in Mexico ... & outrunning the thieves we encountered! The thing I'll miss most about Renee was that behind that innocent smile was a WILD WOMAN! Thank you Renee for being such a delightful friend! Was hoping  to see you in Texas this year. I will miss you so  ....

Renee and I attended St Matthew (Pathway) but our paths rarely crossed. In 2012, I was newly divorced and homeowner in Oak Valley. I was playing with a grandchild at the Oak Valley city park whenever I heard a voice I recognized. Renee was with her dog(s) at the park. I soon learned that she too was starting a new chapter in her life at the same age as I was. Through the years to come, she inspired me as she found happiness with her new husband, activities with grands, decorating new homes. I was blessed to have known her.

As with you her family, I cannot express the sadness I feel with her loss.   I love Renee.  The times we shared will become even more precious and treasured in my heart.  She was such a wonderful woman and friend.  She exuded such a comfort.
We met through Women in the Word at Christ Chapel the year of covid.  At the time she was very involved in taking care of her brother.  Renee was all heart, showing love and compassion to all who crossed her path.  I will miss her dearly and carry her memory in my heart always.  I am so very sorry for the family's loss of this incredible,  sweet lady.

So sad to loose this classmate.  Always had a smile.    She will be missed by those of us in the CHS Class of 1969.

Oh….I have so many memories.   Good, fun, happy, adventurous, sad.  You name it.  We have run the gamut.  They started in Burleson, then Denton, and finally Granbury with lots of side ventures to Mexico and Europe to name a few.  But it was hard to beat our meetings at Sonic in Cresson for a chili dog where we sat in our cars for hours just catching up.  I’m thankful to have this big gaping hole in my chest filling with these precious memories.  I am so blessed to have shared life with her. And I miss her so very very much.
