

Janice Reynolds Ruyle, age 92, passed away peacefully December 8, 2021. She was born July 8, 1929, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Mary Beth Martin and Cecil Virgil Reynolds. Donald R. Ruyle, husband, proceeds her in death.
Janice and Don lived in Wichita Falls until 1971.They moved to Waco then on to Austin, where they lived until Janice retired. They moved to the Dripping Springs area where they enjoyed gardening, watching birds and deer and fishing in their tank. Janice was involved in the Dripping Springs United Methodist Church and volunteered at the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce and Bluebonnet Auxiliary at Hill County Nursing Facility.
Janice was a pioneer in the credit union world. She began her long credit union career in Austin at American Credit Union as president (1973-1987). She became Vice President of Member Services at University Federal Credit Union (1987-1999). Although her kids and grandkids were so proud of her career accomplishments, Janice’s biggest accomplishment was completing her college degree at the age of 62. After family watched her walk across the stage, a huge celebration followed.
Janice moved into Trinity Terrace, Fort Worth, in February, 2015. While living at Trinity Terrace she has made many friends. She enjoyed volunteering with the White Elephant Sales, filling in at the library, tutoring in FWISD and representing her neighbors on 9th floor. Janice and Bill Allen enjoyed attending many social events and loved hosting family dinners at the Blue Spier. Janice recently moved to the Health Services floor at Trinity Terrace due to her declining health. She participated in daily activities and was a frequent winner in BINGO. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff on the 2rd floor for all the care shown during this time.
Janice is survived by her brother Harry Reynolds, Dallas, Brother-in-law Bill Allen of Fort Worth, Sons Stanley C. Ruyle (Melissa) of San Antonio, Stephen D. Ruyle (Camille) of Wichita Falls, Jeffrey D. Ruyle (Lori) of Evant and daughter Janet R. Thomas (Mike) of Fort Worth, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of Janice’s life will be held Thursday December 16th at 2:00 in the Trinity Terrace Chapel. Due to COVID visitors most show proof of vaccination. Please plan arriving at 1:15-1:30 to sign in.
