

Born on November 21, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas, Janie lived a life defined by love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to caring for others. She possessed a warm sense of humor, a generous heart, and a quiet strength that brought comfort to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Whether offering a kind word, a listening ear, or a helping hand, she had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved.
Janie shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Kenneth Ray Hodge. Together they enjoyed traveling, tackling home improvement projects, cooking side by side, and quiet coffee mornings. They found joy in everyday moments and built a home filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories.
Of all the roles she held, none brought Janie greater joy than being "Granner." She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories through family meals, holiday traditions, shared stories, and the simple moments of everyday life. The love she gave them was one of the greatest gifts of her life.
Janie found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends, painting, making crafts and playing board games with her children and grandchildren, getting lost in a good book, and listening to music. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome, often filled with the aroma of something delicious from the kitchen, laughter around the table, and the warmth of family.
Janie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Ray Hodge, her parents Jerrie and Reece Richards, and her brother Dean. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lisa Hodge-Munden, Rhonda Hodge-Day, and Brenda Botzer; her cherished grandchildren, Tommy, Robby, Chance, Chandler, Slayton, and Isobel; her great-grandchildren, Jace and Style; her dear friend, Carley; and extended family and, friends whose lives were forever touched by her kindness and compassion.
Janie's legacy is one of generosity, selfless service, and unwavering love. She cared for strangers as though they were family and loved her family with her whole heart. Although she will be deeply missed, her gentle spirit, infectious laughter, and the countless lives she touched will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her. Her love was the kind that lingered long after she left the room. It remains with us still.
