

Jarvis B. Polk, Sr was born in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Julius Polk and the late Ruby F. Polk on April 12, 1959. Along with his father and mother, Jarvis is preceded by his sisters Linda Ayers, Myrtle Polk, one brother Julius Polk, and one son, Jarvis II. On December 27, 2023 Jarvis succumbed to his short battle with Cancer.
Jarvis began his education in the Fort Worth Independent School District at A.M. Pate Elementary. He also attended Forest Oak Middle School and a later graduated from Poly High School in 1978 where he marched in the famed “Marching 100” Band. Jarvis began his professional career at PBI. After 16 years there, he moved on to Huntington Tile Group until the company closed its Fort Worth facility and moved to East Texas. He then was employed by Watts Technologies. He retired from Watts Technologies earlier this year. In his spare time, he loved doing anything that involved working with his hands. There was no job, big or small, that Jarvis could not do or master. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 38 Years, Carla Polk, two (2) sons, Christopher (Stephanie) and Jarvis, III (Stacy). Two daughters, Tiffany Lawson (Tony) and Adrieene Duke. Ten (10) grandsons, Six (6) granddaughters and two (2) great grandsons.
He also survived by five (5) sisters, Sandra (Greg) Curlin, Betty Harris, Choice Smith Rose Stewart, Ethel Mae Polk and One (1) brother Willie Johnson. All of Fort Worth, Texas. Also left to cherish his memories are his nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
