Jeanette Frances Engler
The Lord brought Jeanette into the world on March 7, 1926, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, the daughter of Harrison and Annie Goddard. She grew up in Plymouth before going to Johns Hopkins University with the goal of becoming a nurse.
She met the man she would marry, Roy Engler, in Baltimore, Maryland, while serving at a USO event. They were married in 1947 and served each other in marriage for 57 years, until Roy passed away from Parkinson’s Disease in 2005.
While living in Houston and Austin, Texas, she and Roy had four children: Royce, Loyce, Sherry, and Robert. They moved to Fort Worth in 1962. While raising her children, she also worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital. The Lord took her home on October, 4, 2018.
She is predeceased by husband Roy; son Robert; and brother Ernest.
She is survived by son Royce and wife, Suzan; daughter Loyce Houston; and daughter Sherry Branch and husband, Mike.
Grandchildren Adrianne Sale and husband, Graham; Ryan Engler and wife, Amber; Terence Branch and wife, Becky; Paul Branch and wife, Elizabeth; Kimberly Lee and husband, Kevin; Rebecca Christopherson and husband, Joel.
Great-grandchildren Ethan, Elianna, and Ashton Sale; Stanley Elaine, Ashley, and Avery Engler; Connor Branch; Hannah, Thomas, Benjamin, Jacob, Leah, Daniel, and Sarah Jo Branch; Alisha and Adalyn Lee; Arielle and Levi Christopherson.
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep,
that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep.
