Jerry was born in Guntown, Miss., on July 17, 1938, to Milton and Opal Blaylock. At the age of 3, his family moved to Muleshoe where Jerry grew up. Jerry was a lifetime landscape contractor. He was also a member of Arlington Heights United Methodist Church.
Honorary pallbearers for the service include the Muleshoe High School class of 1958.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Kristi Kay.
Survivors: Wife, Bonnie; daughter, Kris Peterson; sons, Nick Blaylock and wife, Dawn, Russell Blaylock and wife, Whitney, Scott Blaylock; brother, Jody Blaylock and wife, Mamie; mother-in-law, Edith Chandler; brother-in-law, Allen Chandler and wife, Janan; grandchildren, Brittany and husband, Ryan Burke, Kristin Peterson, Blake Blaylock, Jackson Blaylock and Grayson Blaylock; great-grandson, Caleb Burke; brother-in-law, Bill Miller; and mother of Kris and Nick, Jo Thomas Blaylock.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
