Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Monday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth.
Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
Jerry was born Sept. 8, 1925, in Diamond, Miss., to Frank and Alice Fields. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Jerry married Dixie Cooney on May 5, 1950. He was a brick mason and building contractor and built a large portion of Duncanville, including houses, schools, churches and City Hall. He also taught building trades at Duncanville High School.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Max, Frank and Tom Fields.
Survivors: Wife, Dixie Fields; daughters, Sherrie Cox and husband, Adrian, of Azle, Toni Ash and husband, Perry, of Burleson and Dixie Morrison and husband, Mike, of Red Oak; sister, Lavern Ginder; grandchildren, Brandie Smith, Chris Cox, Amanda Douglas, Sam Ash, Jeremy Morrison and Mason Morrison; 13 great-grandchildren; and his faithful dog, Bandie.
