Jerry Mack Trotter, 84, passed away on January 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on August 3, 1940, he was a devoted husband, father, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Jerry carried his sense of duty and craftsmanship into his career as an industrial engraver. Even after retirement, he remained dedicated to his workshop, creating beautiful woodworking pieces—lamps and bowls that now serve as cherished reminders of his creativity and skill in the homes of his loved ones.
Jerry was a long-time member and Sunday school director for the 5th and 6th grades at Sagamore Hill Baptist Church.
Jerry was a man who loved to laugh, always quick with a joke or a story. He found joy in sports and cars, passions that connected him to friends and family throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlene Trotter, and his parents, Clarence and Florence Trotter. He is survived by his sons, Keith and Charles Trotter, and his daughter, Tammy Trotter, who will carry on his legacy of love, laughter, and artistry.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jerry’s life at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow on Tuesday, February 4, at 2:00 p.m., with a committal service to immediately follow.
In his final weeks, Jerry was blessed with an overwhelming outpouring of love and support from those who cherished him. He left this world knowing he was deeply loved, stepping from the embrace of his family into the eternal arms of his Father.
Rest easy, Jerry—you will always be remembered.
