

Jessie Marvin Lewis Jr , passed on September 15, 2023 while in hospice care at the age of 82. He leaves behind his wife Jessie Lewis and son Jermaine Lewis.
Jessie was born on June 20, 1941 in Hubbard, Texas to Jessie Marvin Lewis Sr and Ruthie Mae Bluitt who predeceased him. He grew up with 3 loving sisters and 1 loving brother. Jessie attended and graduated from Hubbard High school. From there he attended night school to earn his degree in Welding Engineering, and began his welding career for the company Ingersoll Rand where he would later retire from.
Jessie married his wife also named Jessie Elizabeth Mae Lee Lewis on August 01, 1971. They settled down in Fort Worth TX. It was there Jessie and Jessie built a home and raised two sons Jerome and Jermaine. Jessie was a devoted Husband and Father who's core values rested on family. He believed in serving his immediate and non immediate family without hesitation. Some of Jessie's favorite pastime hobbies included collecting and listening to soulful music, going to the ballpark to watch a baseball game, working on his trucks, going to the movies, and playing dominoes. One of his favorite quotes was "Never force it. If you have to force it, it won't work." He was a man of action when it came to showing his love, not through words alone.
He is survived by his wife, one son, three grandchildren, as well as his sister Cindy; four nephews and four nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, one son, and one niece.
