She was a lifelong member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Jewellene was a cherished soul whose warmth, wisdom, and unwavering grace left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jewellene was preceded in death by her parents, Evergene Lewis and James McCullough, her only son, Gregory McCullough, and her brother, Edward E. Cooper.
Those remaining to cherish Jewellene’s memory are her beloved husband, Alex Elder, Jr., of Fort Worth, Texas. She also leaves behind one brother, Rodney Cooper (Edith) of Arlington, Texas, and three sisters, Myrtle Bolton (Kenneth) of Fort Worth, Texas, Mary Watts (Joseph) of Hinesville, Georgia, and Jeanetta West (George II) of Garland, Texas. Two sister in-laws Earline Elder Rayville, Louisiana, and Elaine Coleman (Bobby) Calhoun, Louisiana. Jewellene Elder is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
