

Jimmie Edith Ledbetter passed away on June 28, 2022 in Bedford, Texas. Jimmie died at the age of 99 years, just 22 days shy of her 100th birthday. She was a previous resident of Fort Worth and Burleson, Texas.
Jimmie was born July 20, 1922 in Waxahachie, Texas to Anna Bell and Charles Wilson Brazier. Jimmie was always a very hard worker. In her lifetime, she was a licensed beautician, an excellent seamstress, an avid gardener, and an amazing caregiver to G. W. during the four years of his declining health. She was a wonderful mother to her children and loving Meme to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jimmie always served as home room mom for her children’s classrooms, and she also served as Bluebird leader for Kaye’s Bluebird troop. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, G. W. Ledbetter, six sisters, two brothers, and one grandchild.
She is survived by her daughter, Kaye Lewis, sons Michael Ledbetter, Robert Wood, Marvin Wood, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and extended family and many friends.
Visitation for Jimmie will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Laurel Land with burial to follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
