

Jimmie Lynn Long, 51, was born on December 16th, 1969, in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was born to Richard and Patricia Scarbrough and was “the baby” to her big sisters Theresa, Rhonda, and Pamela. She later fell in love with Christopher Long and was married to him on October 29th, 1988. She was a kind and giving wife to her husband, and a devoted mother to her three daughters, Stori, Chase, and Jessie.
She loved Jesus, watching movies with her family, laughing with her sisters and friends, exercise, running half-marathons, and cuddling with her three chihuahuas. She was actively involved and loved her home church of Hallmark Baptist.
A year after her diagnosis and after year of treatment and fighting, she died on August 31st, 2021 from a glioblastoma.
Through it all, she fought well and lived a life of love, compassion, and generosity to everyone.
Jimmie was survived by her parents, Richard and Patricia Scarbrough, her husband Chris Long, her daughters Stori and Jessie Long, her three sisters, Theresa, Rhonda, and Pamela, her two nieces Ashley and Holli, her two nephews Brandon and Jeremy, her sister-in-law Andrea Long, her brothers-in-law Russell, Robert, and Mike, 11 aunts and uncles, and 25 cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Chase Long, her niece Heather McMenamy, her father-in-law Gordon Long, mother-in-law Annette Stevens, and grandparents Henry and Juanita Scarbrough and James and Gladys Ashby.
