Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Sagamore Baptist Church, 2301 Dottie Lynn Parkway, Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
Jimmy was born in Gilmer. He grew up in San Antonio and moved in the late 1940s to Fort Worth, where he met the love of his life, Jo Ann. They were married for 63 years. Jim loved his family and was involved in sports all his life. He loved to coach and see his children and grandchildren play in all sporting events. Jim also loved the Rangers and Cowboys. He had a passion for golf and played at Meadowbrook golf course.
Jim was a devout Christian man and an active member of Sagamore Baptist Church for 50 years. He was a friend to everyone who knew him.
Survivors: Wife, Jo Ann; sons, Jimmy Jr. and wife, Kerry, Jeff; daughter, Patricia and husband, Michael Ferguson; grandchildren, Kip, Cale and wife, Jessica, Cody and wife, Brooke, Julie and husband, Charlie Cottongame, T.J. and wife, Karen, Bobby Bosillo and wife, Natalia, Tara and Taylor; and five great-grandchildren.
