He was born in Fort Worth Texas in September 1936, to Cecil and Gladys Fisher. He had one sister, Ann, whom he antagonized most of their childhood, but loved dearly.
Jimmy retired from the United States Postal Service, as a courier for Carter Burgess, as a tour guide for the Fort Worth Stockyards, and an usher for LaGrave Field. He did not retire lightly. Life held too many adventures to slow down.
He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers for over 50 years.
He was a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his sister, children, son-in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
It is firmly believed that, in the end, he did not ride into the sunset, but rather headed towards the sunrise in search of new adventures.
Ride easy, Jimmy. Ride easy.
