My special connection with JoAnn is that we are "birthday buddies". We share the same birthday and year. Growing up, we lived across the street from each other and enjoyed birthday parties together. Remember the last one in high school.  Although we took different paths, over the years, we would connect on our birthday. I shared in her achieving retirement as a 2nd grade teacher. She was so proud of the achievements of her "girls". 

My love and sympathy are with Harlene (Peanut), TJ, and her girls. Along with the Carter G. Woodson family, we always have the love.

I am so very sorry to hear of Jo Ann’s passing. We served in the same class at BSF for many years and one year she was my roommate at the retreat in Dallas. We shared some serious giggles in that hotel and she even pulled off a practical joke that another leader in our class put her up to. She had such a wonderful sense of humor but she was serious about her Savior Jesus. I am grateful that I will see her again!

Erika,, Kim, Kecia, Tony, and family!  Jo was my best friend for many years as we taught together at Como, and raised our kids together.   She leaves  a beautiful legacy as she lived a life that exemplified the love and servitude of our Lord, whom she loved deeply!  She made a difference in the lives of those who knew her and we will always cherish those precious memories!  Praying God gives you the PEACE that sustains and strengthens you, knowing you will see her again!  Much love and PRAYERS!

Joann was a very Dear Friend to me, God brought us together as we served in Bible Study Fellowships forever grateful for those Precious times we had together Studying, Praying for each other & for our families. Sharing Birthdays, lots of lunches, with laughs, joy, sharing  our blessings. We enjoyed trips going to volunteer at BSF Headquarters. She was a Jewel to me. I am so excited she is in the presence of our Savior & know I will see her again. Will miss her for now but will see her soon.
