Jo Ann Moody, 63, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 18 at 10am at Bridegwood Church of Christ. The visitation will be Friday, April 17 from 5-7pm at Shannon Rose Hill.
Jo Ann was a retired school teacher who taught in Fort Worth for 33 years. She enjoyed her travels around the world and lovingly included her young nephews to join her in many of her trips. She spent the last three years battling cancer and vowed to the very end to “never give up”. Her courage was an inspiration to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Moody; and father, Sam Skidmore. Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Jennie Skidmore; sister, Veronica Swope and husband Tom; brother, Sam Skidmore, Jr. and wife Donna; heartfelt brother, Randy Toomer and wife Fran; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; faithful companion, her Sheltie “Sammy”; and many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be made to the American Cancer Society, Bridgewood Church of Christ, or a charity of your choice.
