

Joan Marie Pfalzer passed away March 23, 2025, at the age of 82. Joan truly believed that it was more blessed to give than to receive and lived her life this way. Her generosity knew no bounds. She was generous with her time, her love and her whole life. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a beautiful soul who would help and encourage all of those around her. She made everything feel special, moments both big and small. Her radiant love lit up every room she entered, and she always sought to find connection with people. She lived life to the fullest and has many a beautiful, and often funny, memory of her journey through the years. She especially loved baking for friends and family, gardening and tending to her beautiful yard as well as spending time with her family and many devoted friends.
Joan was born on September 24, 1942 in Buffalo, New York to parents Harold & Marion (Turner) Leslie, joining brother, David. After marrying her perfect partner, Vern Pfalzer, in 1969, they moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Joan was a loyal employee of American Airlines where she enjoyed a beautiful career until retirement.
Although Joan is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her wonderful husband, Vern Pfalzer; her brother, David Leslie, her children, Michael Schunk and wife Rhonda, Connie Pinion and husband John; grandchildren Nicholas, Hunter, Corey, as well as her son with Vern, Eric Pfalzer and wife Katie; grandchildren Jace & Liv.
Preceded in death by parents, Harold and Marion Leslie, grandson Kyle and soul-sister-in-law, Theresa Pfalzer.
A a celebration of life for Joan will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel, 6001 Rufe Snow Dr, Fort Worth, Texas 76148.
In lieu of flowers, just as Joan prioritized sharing life with family & friends and showing kindness and empathy to all, the family asks that you do the same - go out and do something that brings you real joy and share it with those around you.
