Joan Westemeir VanPelt

family by her side. Joan was born on October 1, 1930, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Joe and Helen Westemeir.

Joan married Carl Zogg on December 30, 1950 and they had 2 children, Steven and Radonna. They were married until Carl's passing in 1999.

She later married Herb VanPelt. They built a home in Granbury, TX and remained together until Herb's passing in August 2023.

Joan was a dedicated member of First Christian Church of Granbury for 25 years and cherished her church family. She found comfort in her faith. She loved decorating for the holidays and her true passion was playing bridge, a game she mastered for over 60 years. Joan took immense pride in everything she did and it showed in every aspect of her life.

Joan's legacy will live on in the memories and love she shared with those around her.

She is survived by her daughter, Radonna Bickham (Gary) of

Corpus Christi, TX, her daughter-in-law, Brenda of Ft. Worth, TX, her granddaughter, Rianna, of Austin, TX, her grandson, Brandon (Amy) of Ft Worth and great grandson (Bryson). Also 2 stepsons, Jamie VanPelt of Ingleside, TX ,Scott VanPelt, (Debbie), of Big Spring Tx, and stepdaughter Cary VanPelt of Ft Worth, Tx. She is preceded in death by her two husbands Karl Zogg and Herb VanPelt and her son, Steven Zogg.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on January 14, 2026, at 10:00 am at the First Christian Church of Granbury, TX.
