

JoAnn R. Bickham was born in New Orleans, Louisiana as the eldest child of Louis Roland and Noel Winchester Roland on January 18, 1949. She was educated in the Orleans Parish School System, attending L. B. Landry Senior High School.
JoAnn devoted more than 30 years of service as a housekeeper in the hospitality industry before retiring in 2009. She was known for her kindness and witty personality. JoAnn's greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Known lovingly as "MawMaw," she meant the world to them and her love and warmth will remain in their hearts forever.
JoAnn gained her wings on Wednesday, March 11, at 12:53 a.m. Thought she is no longer with us in body, the memories she created will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
She leaves to treasure her memory; her children; Jeanette Thomas, Kemberly Bickham (Eric) and Jason Rouzan; Honorary daughter, Chantrice Dukes (Thelonious); nine grandchildren; Jade Bickham, Jade Bickham, Anthony Bush, IV, Asia Bush, Jason Rouzan, Jr., Aqwan Bush, Talaiah Morris, Kemon Bickham and Essence Everfield, Honorary grandchildren, Thelonious Dukes, III, Thaddeus Dukes, Reign Kukes and DeMaj Williams; two great-grandchildren; JaKai Michell and Autumn Bush; four siblings; Brenda Lewis (Aaron), Anthony Roland (Denise), Karen Cameron and Annette Roland; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Noel Roland; her husband Lindell Bickham and her brother, Gary Roland.
Her legacy of love, kindness and devotion to family will live on through all who knew her.
