Mr. Allen was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Wortham to the late Jessie and Lizzie Allen. He retired from Trinity River Authority after 26 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie R. Allen; and sons, Bill Ring and James Lynn Allen.
Survivors: Daughters, Rebecca and husband, Jack Stuard, and Betty and husband, James Airheart; daughter-in-law Dawn Ring; grandsons, Steven, Jackie and Michael; granddaughters, Candice, Amber and Crystal; and 10 great-grandchildren.
