All services will take place Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm, and a rosary will be recited at 7p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00 am at, with interment to follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
Joe, or “JoeB” as he was lovingly known, was born to parents Eugenio Bentancourt and Ruby Aragon Bentancourt on January 1, 1953 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was raised and lived there a large portion of his life. He was a proud graduate of F.H. Moody High School’s class of 1973. Joe moved and became a resident of Fort Worth about 25 years ago.
Joe was hard working and had a very strong work ethic. His priorities in life were his family, making sure his wife and children were well cared for, and spending as much time as he could making them happy. Later in life, he much enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his sweet grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joe loved cooking out and often enjoyed watching his beloved Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He enjoyed working on his old Ford pick-up and much enjoyed his trips to Win Star casino to try his luck. Joe was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by those blessed to have shared time with him.
Joe is survived by his wife, Adella Bentancourt; children, Joel Bentancourt, Abel Bentancourt, Erick Bentancourt, Thelma Lozano, Christina Hernandez and Yvette Padilla; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Rey Martinez, Matthew Guadalupe Martinez, Elida Leanna Martinez, Patricio Antonio Tejada, Veronica Tejada, Jesus Padilla, Angel Padilla, Andrew Padilla, Isaac Padilla, Evelyn Barron, Anyiah Williams, Lylah Williams, Joseph Garza, Emmilienne Lozano, Samantha Bentancourt, Victor Bentancourt, Hannah Bentancourt, Henry Bentancourt, Viviana Bentancourt, Abel Bentancourt Jr., Adrian Bentancourt, Joel Bentancourt Jr.; his brothers and sisters, Twin, Jesse Bentancourt, Norma Bentancourt, Eugenio Bentancourt Jr., Janie B. Perez and Maria B. Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Juan Francisco Gonzalez, Guadalupe Marie Gonzalez, Elianna Sofia Gonzalez and Matthew Martinez Jr., among numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
