Born May 10,1933, in Alvarado, Texas. Joe grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he attended Istrouma High School. Following his graduation Joe enlisted in the United States Airforce. He dedicated 20 years of honorable service to the nation, ultimately retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant and being awarded several awards including the Bronze Star.
In high school Joe met the love of his life BeeBee (Cecilia). The two shared an extraordinary bond, remaining married for 70 years until her passing. Together Joe and BeeBee had 5 children.

Whether as a husband, father, grandfather or great grandfather, his presence brought immense joy and stability to his family.
