He accepted Christ at an early age and became a dedicated, faithful member of over 20 years at LightHouse Baptist Church.
During his Stewardship at LightHouse Baptist Church, he served as Deacon.
He received his education from the Ennis Independent School District.
He loved fishing and cooking. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends
Preceding Joe in death were his wife, Anita Marie Culton; parents, Inmond Culton Sr. and Ida Mae Jones; daughter, Sheila Wheeler; sister, Eva Fields; brothers, Inmond Culton II, Clifton Culton, and Jimmie Culton.
Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory sons, Corey Culton (Dyuana), Benny Wheeler, Bobby Wheeler (Antisha) and Claude Lewis; daughters, Tanykia Tipps (Raymond IV) and Tuesday Hodge (Marvin); siblings, Ruby Culton, Marie Gray, Cindy Brownlow, Deborah Cavitt (John), Carol Ennis, Roosevelt Tates, Dan Jones (Trish), Albert Culton (Angela), and Anthony Tates; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
