

Joey Wayne Ronemus, beloved Son, Brother, Father, Friend and Soldier went to be at peace with our Heavenly Father Oct.18th, 2014. Joey was born on March 15th, 1983, and touched the lives of many people in his short 31 year life. His childhood was spent in San Angelo and Ft. Worth Texas. Joey graduated in 2001 from Eastern Hills High in Ft. Worth Texas. After attending UTA, he worked in the TV and film production industry until he joined the United States Army Reserves in 2005. He served two separate tours in Iraq with the 287th Sustainment Brigade Army Reserves between 2006 and 2009. Serving as a Specialist Private Second Class he continued his studies and achieved several certifications as a Network Architect and Engineer.
Joey was welcomed by his maternal Grandparents Dorothy and Robert Broughton; his paternal Grandparents James Ronemus and Ethel and Wallace Rodgers, and his Uncle Wesley Ronemus who preceded him in death.
He will be deeply missed by his Daughter, Elizabeth Ronemus of Arlington , TX; His parents, Gary Ronemus of Sweetwater, TX ;and Teresa and Tom Rodgers of Converse, LA : his paternal Grandmother, Gail Ronemus of Sweetwater and his Maternal Grandmother, Alpha Broughton of Sun City, TX; his Sisters Sophia Cox of Arlington, TX, and Gloria Rodgers of Converse, LA, Stephanie Rodgers of Downey, CA and his Brother ,Retired Staff Sargent Thomas Rodgers Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX. Joey’s nieces and nephews, other family members, friends and co-workers will also feel his loss. His spirit will live in our hearts forever, and his body provided a lifesaving contribution to many more through organ and tissue donation.
Public visitation will be held Monday, November 3rd, 2014, from 2-6 p.m. at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, located at 7301 East Lancaster, Ft Worth, TX . Family viewing and service will be held Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Shannon Rose Hill Chapel. Military Graveside Services will be held, on Tuesday, November 4th, 1:00 p.m. at the Dallas/Ft Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.
Our family requests that donations be provided to the Wounded Warrior Project, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in his name.
