
He was born December 20th, 1953, to Earl Peter Bolten and Marvel Francise Bolten in St. Joseph, MIssouri.
John worked as a fireman for the City of Fort Worth and retired in 2012 as a lieutenant, prior to that he had a career in carpentry and became a master carpenter and a member of the local carpenters union.
John had many hobbies including classic car restoration, collecting antiques of all sorts, woodworking, camping and spending time with his grandkids. He had a life long passion for martial arts and successfully earned a 9th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Marvel Bolten and his brother Marvin Bolten. He is survived by his daughters Audrey Gibson, her husband Zack and their three sons, Maddox, Cooper, Trent and his daughter Kaylen Watson, her husband Ryan and their two children, Carter, Kamdyn and his brothers Michael Bolten, James Bolten and sister Marvel "Sissy" Bolten Brown.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 22nd, 2024 at Laurel Land Funeral Home 7100 Crowley Rd Fort Worth, Tx 76134.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am and then a graveside service will follow shortly after at 11:00 am.
