

He was raised on a farm in Ransom, PA. After high school graduation he enrolled in the United States Army Air Force services, where he proudly served in world II and the Korean War in Germany.
On his return home, he worked at the Swanee Paper (Potlach Paper) in Ransom, Pa as a machinist for 20 years. He moved his family to Houston, TX and worked for Ingersoll Rand for 16 years. He retired and moved his family to the Texas hill country area where they lived for about 15 years. After traveling and seeing areas that he had dreamed to see, he moved closer to family in the Dallas/ Ft. worth area, where he resided until his passing.
John enjoyed traveling the US in the summers with his family, first by campers and later by timeshares. He also had a lifelong enjoyment of hunting, fishing, and gardening. In his last years he would share the productions from his garden with his family and friends.
He was proceeded death by his father , John Edward Green , his mother Evelyn Resencrance Green, his son Richard John Green, his brothers Forrest Green, Emerson Green and Lester Green and his wife Harriet Elaine Wheeler Green.
Surviving family members are: his daughters Susan l Green Hudock, Cheryl l Green Lamas, and Heather R Green Deleon, his sister Marlene Green Kenia, and brother William Green Sr, grandchildren, Shawn Green, Christopher J. Lamas, April Hudock Degilio, Charles A. Lamas, Shanndra Jones, Sadie Deleon and Dimitri Deleon, great granddaughter Ellie Hudock. He also has many cousins, nieces, and nephews, friends and neighbors that will miss him dearly.
