John Michael Medvic

A visitation for John will be held on Thursday, June 8th from 5:00-8:00pm at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel (6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76148). A funeral mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, June 9th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (2016 Willis Lane, Keller, Texas 76248).

John was born in Euclid, Ohio to John and Florence (Godish) Medvic. He graduated from Wickcliffe High School in 1975. He then entered the United States Air Force. During his time in the service, John met Deborah (Debbie) Fore and on August 12, 1978, the two were married. After being honorably discharged, he went to work for Southern Pacific Railroad. In the early 1980s, he began working for American Airlines for 37 years until his retirement.

John was a huge fan of sports but especially loved his Ohio State Buckeyes and had a great passion for his Harley, which he rode many a time with close friends. John also loved to cook, grill and bake for others. His family remembers the many times he would cook for all of them, as well as his neighbors and coworkers, making sure no one left empty-handed. He was a very giving man as family and friends can attest to.

John is preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Medvic, and his brother, Robert Medvic.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debbie Medvic; his son, Justin Medvic, and his wife, Erica; his grandchildren: Ashlyn and Aaron Medvic; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
