John Randall Reeves was born 2/12/1940 in Big Spring, TX, the first son of John William Reeves and Nellie Mae Robinson. He graduated from Technical High School in Fort Worth, TX in June 1958 with a degree in general electrical and mechanical drafting, where he was enrolled in R.O.T.C. He joined the U.S. Marine Reserves at the age of 20 and was honorably discharged on February 2, 1966. He worked the last years of his career at Lockheed, retiring in 2002. Hobbies he enjoyed included Harley Davidson motorcycles and fine automobiles. He once completely restored a 1950 Cadillac to its original condition. His last car was a 2016 Corvette Stingray. Saved by the love of Jesus Christ and by His grace at the age of 16, Randall was a member of Ridglea Baptist Church in Fort Worth until moving his membership to Broadway Baptist Church in 1965. Later in life he expressed the desire to return to Ridglea but never moved his membership back. Randall was a survivor. He survived a bout with pneumonia while at Parris Island in the Marine Corps. Also he survived four hip surgeries over a twenty three period, a massive stroke in 2009, and a triple heart bypass surgery in 2015. But the fourth hip replacement in November, 2016, was too much for him. Unable to bounce back after five months in rehab he passed away peacefully on April 3rd with Gary by his side. He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Elise Reeves Crain of Round Rock, Texas, and his brother, Gary Loren Reeves of San Antonio, Texas, brother in law James Arthur Crain and his sister in law, Jo Ena Davis Reeves, four nieces, five grand-nieces and three grand nephews and a host of friends.
