I received the returned Christmas card I sent to Johnny today.  I went on line & found his obit. I am sorry to learn of his death.  Aunt Lacy gave her children the most wonderful gift-LOVE & it radiated in & through her children to others.  I am a second cousin to Johnny.  My Grandmother was Ethel Sparks Gibbons.  Bill & I visited with Aunt Lacy & Charles when they lived on the ranch & went to church with them here at Argyle.  We shelled peas & picked pears together.  I still make her receipt with pears called Pear Honey.  Aunt Lacy was a fun person to all ages.  I went to high school with Bobby.  Johnny & I kept in touch by telephone. Johnny was a great guy with loads of friends. I will miss him. Please accept our sympathy.  The Sparks cousins are fewer now.  Maxine Robinson Evans, Argyle, Texas

I just saw Johnny's obituary in the April 17 newspaper this past Sunday (April 24).  I am saddened to hear of his passing. I've known Johnny and Doris all my life and will always carry precious memories of them tucked safely away in a special part of my heart.  My happiest childhood memories revolve around Aunt Lacy, her offspring  (Sis, Johnny, Raymond, Bill and Bobby) and Uncle Charles.  Of course the cousins were all older than me, but I learned a lot from each of them.  I can imagine Aunt Lacy and her brood gathered around card tables with all the Sherman's playing "42".  What a racket they must be making!  P.S.  I'll miss you, Johnny!
