John Edward Tomsic passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 85. John was born to parents Katherine Fernolend and John Tomsic in Cleveland, Ohio in 1936. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University with a degree in Engineering, his successful career brought the family from the cold north to the sunny plains of Texas. He loved Texas and the outdoors and in retirement enjoyed frequent fishing trips to the Texas coast. John’s greatest love was his family.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, June Marie Tomsic. He is survived by five children Katherine Noyes, John H. Tomsic, Karen Thomas, Donna Tomsic and Cheryl Quartaro. Eleven grandchildren: Allison Hurd, Sara Kamper, Cristina Cline, Jennifer Minonno, John Thomas, Michael Thomas, David Thomas, Lexy Hicks, Amy Quartaro, Chad Quartaro, and Emma Quartaro. He was blessed with twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson who loved him dearly. Far from his home, but always close to his heart, he is also survived by his sister Pat Hanna and his brother Joe Tomsic.
