Johnny Eugene Davis, affectionately known to family, friends, and everyone who loved him as "Fat Daddy," was born on February 25, 1973, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the loving parents Gwen Moore and Eddie Davis. Johnny received his education through the Fort Worth Independent School District and attended Dunbar High School. In the summer of 2000, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, beginning a personal walk of faith that remained with
him throughout his life.
On June 22, 2026, Johnny peacefully transitioned from labor to reward in the comfort of his sleep. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his family finds peace in knowing that he quietly entered eternal rest and is now in the loving presence of the Lord.
Anyone who knew Johnny knew that cars were more than a hobby—they were his calling. A true car enthusiast and exceptionally gifted mechanic, Johnny possessed a wealth of knowledge that few
could match. Whether it was diagnosing a problem others couldn't solve or lending a helping hand to someone stranded, he never hesitated to share his time, talent, and expertise. Family members, friends, neighbors, and countless people throughout the community relied on him because they knew his work was honest, dependable, and done with pride. For Johnny, fixing cars wasn't just about engines—it was about helping people. While his passion for automobiles was well known, nothing brought Johnny greater joy than his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a
proud Paw Paw who embraced his role as a grandfather with his whole heart. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, creating memories they will carry with them forever. His family was the center of his world, and his love for them
was unwavering. Johnny also had a personality that could brighten any room. He loved to laugh, loved to make others laugh, and always seemed to have a joke or funny story ready to share. His warm smile, infectious sense of humor, and generous spirit made
everyone feel welcome. He had a remarkable way of turning ordinary moments into cherished memories, and his presence brought comfort, laughter, and joy to those around him.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Davis.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his beloved wife, Angela Davis; his children, Dralon Thomas, Michael Hamilton III, and Johnny Eugene Davis Jr.; his treasured grandchildren, Angela Hamilton, Dream Simpson, and Journei Simpson; his loving mother, Gwen Moore; his brothers, Christopher Davis (Tymekia) and Taylor
Moore (Shenequa); along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will
forever treasure the love and laughter he shared. Johnny's legacy will continue to live on not only through his family but also throughout the car and mechanic community, where his knowledge,
generosity, and willingness to help others earned him the respect and admiration of many. Though his hands have completed their
final repair and his earthly journey has come to an end, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
"Well done, good and faithful servant"
