I was Joe's pastor. He was a wonderful christian and friend. I will always remember his warmth and his smile. They don't make them like Joe anymore.

Joe Martin soared like the eagle in Isaih 40:31 - a real American hero who landed in Normandy and survived a German POW camp - man loved his family, church and country and gave a lot to support both - a lot of kids went to camp because of his generousity - American needs more men like him - praying for family members on first holiday without him. Uncle Buddy was a great man and not a day will go by where he is not missed! He always made us laugh with his stories. He loved all the little kids including Mr. Termite (AKA CANAAN). To the Martin Family we love you and are praying for God to bring you peace and comfort. Love the Key Family

Lesa and family; We truly know what you are going through this very minute and in the days ahead, but God will ease the pain and will surround you in his love. You don't have to carry the burden alone and your Dad is now at peace with our Lord. Love and prayers to you and your family. I know your Dad will be missed sorely, but He will never be forgotten. His memories will linger through out your lifetime.

What a man. He fought his whole life. He was a paratrooper in World War ll and captured . He was held as a POW and managed to escape and find his way across frigid weather conditions to safety. He finally made it back home. He.liked in his younger years to ride motorcycles. He always like a challenge. I recall years ago going to Weatherford out the West Freeway now I-30 towing a portable building on a trailer at 25 mph behind his Chevy Corvair Van. I was following him with my emergency flashers on and looked back only to see traffic backed up as far as I could see.
He would tackle any task and usually always manage to figure out a way to accomplish what need to be done.
He could tell a story like no other person I have ever known.
He fought health issues for years. Now he can finally find peace and join the rest of our family and his friends in Heaven.
May God Bless Dru,Lesa,Ned and his Grandchildren and comfort them with their loss.
