

She went by the name Jo and was born in Sanok, Poland to Fedor (Frank) and Mary Yadlowsky on January 1, 1926. She was raised in this small Ukrainian village with her three older sisters Marta, Ann and Mary. When she was a baby her father left for Western Canada to seek a better life for the family. In 1933 Frank sent for her mother Mary, Jo and sister Mary to come to Lamont, Alberta Canada outside Edmonton. She attended school in rural Canada living in a small farm house during the harsh winters of Alberta. Her father moved the family to Edmonton where she attended high school and went to Business College. In 1958 Jo moved to be closer to her sister Mary who was living in Fort Worth, TX with her family. Jo loved the warmer climate and made her life in Texas. Jo was single, independent, quiet, kind to everyone with a contagious laugh. She was an avid reader, devout Catholic and a Dallas Cowboys fan.
She is survived by sister, Mary Y. Houston; niece, Darci H. Hague; nephew, Douglas C. Houston III; grandniece, Holly Hague; grandniece, Heather Hague; and grandniece, Amy H. Beckner.
