Judy was the youngest child born to Robert Harold and Melba M. Parker on May 21, 1945 in Dallas, TX. Mom attended Jefferson High School until 1963, then attended TCU to be the 1st woman to graduate with a Ranch Management Degree. She then went to Baylor University and received her dental hygiene degree. One day in Dallas, as mom was dropping off her Chrysler at the local dealership, she met the love of her life, the service writer, Samuel K. Gilmore. In 1973, Judy and Sam moved to Grapevine, TX where they would spend the prime of their life. Judy served on the Southlake Carroll School Board at the beginning of their explosive growth. While in Grapevine, they were active members of First Baptist Church Grapevine where they developed a pattern of giving. There are many people today that have experienced their generosity because of camp scholarships, mission trip funding, hand bell purchases and countless other ways they encouraged the community. After Sam passed on, and went to help greet those who walk through the pearly gates of heaven, mom moved to Ft. Worth and started attending Southcliff Baptist Church. There she was known as the sassy woman on the 3-wheeled cart and her generosity continued. Today those who know her, know that she is breathing better and enjoying the bright shinny stones of heaven and possibly giving her opinion on what could be done a little different.
