December 17, 1940November 13, 2020

Julia Ann Olona, age 79, of Fort Worth, Texas was called to her heavenly home on November 13, 2020.

The family will Celebrate Julia’s life during a Committal Service on December 17, 2020 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.

Julia was born on December 17, 1940 in Clovis, New Mexico to parents, Travis Franklin Lloyd and Alma Mae “Sid” Lloyd. Julia was one of three children and was raised in Bovina, Texas, where she graduated High School. Julia was a kind and caring wife, to her husband, Reyes, who she celebrated 30 years of marriage with. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother to her 5 grandchildren.

Julia’s work ethic was visible in her dedication and long years of work for Bovina ISD as a bus driver and later at Bosque Farms, and JCPenney, where she worked as a book keeper until her retirement. Julia’s spontaneity showed when in her later years she enjoyed playing basketball. Julia’s sweet nature and kind soul will always be treasured by those blessed to have called her wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed.

Julia is preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Sid Lloyd, and brother-in-law, Larry Webb. Left to cherish Julia’s memory are: her husband of 30 years, Reyes Olona; son, Robbie Schroeder and life partner, Cass Edwards; daughter, Reyna Harvey, and her husband, Wayne; brother, Donald F. Lloyd, and wife, Myrna; sister, Patsy E. Webb; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

I loved working with Julia in Bosque Farms. Her kind and gentle spirit drew you to her. I considered her my friend and mentor. My late husband knew her first by working with her and he always spoke so highly of Julia. I also got the privilege of working with her a few years later. You will be missed Julie. Always in my heart.
