Karen Denice Dionis

April 5, 1957November 15, 2019

On Friday, November 15, 2019, Karen Denice Dionis, loving mother and dear friend, passed away in her North Richland Hills home at the age of 62. She was born on April 5, 1957, to George and Joyce Hammer in Paris, Tennessee. In March of 1981, she welcomed her beautiful daughter who was the light of her life. During her career, she worked as an Account Manager at various restaurants. She also attended college later in life and became a member of the National Honor Society. Karen was an avid reader, a passionate writer and had a knack for knitting. She loved knitting blankets and scarves for others, and taking long strolls with her fur baby, Yumi. She touched many lives with her warm smile and she always gave the best hugs. Her love for God was apparent in the way she loved others. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all that knew her. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Hammer. She is survived by her daughter Keisha Barclay and her husband Luke; sisters Sharon Nations and her husband Ron and Marty Welch and her husband Ron J. Douglas; brother Steven Hammer and his wife Mignon; her faithful Yorkie Yumi; and grand fur babies Crown, Logan and Dixon. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 30, from 1-2pm at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, followed by graveside services at 2pm, also at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
