Keith Glynn Mathis

He is survived by his mother, Lana Mathis, of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Brian Mathis, and his wife, Jana, of Grandview, Texas; sister, Holly Kiser, and her husband, Jim, of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Cheryl Mathis, of Dallas, Texas; nephew, Clayton Mathis, of Fort Worth, Texas; niece, Rachel Mathis, of Brunswick, Georgia; aunt, Carole Mathis, of Plano, Texas; uncle, Truett Mathis, and his wife, Amy, of Liberty, Missouri; and cousins: Robert Mathis, Beth Markley, James Mathis, Katherine Smith, and Carole Thomason. He was preceded in death by his father, Glynn Mathis.

Keith graduated from Fort Worth’s Southwest High School in 1986 and then attended Tarrant County College. During high school and college, Keith worked various jobs, but his favorite was as an Assistant Manager for the United Artist Movie Theater in Fort Worth. He worked for more than ten years as a video/tech specialist for the Nursing Education Telecommunication Satellite System (NETSS) at the University of Texas at Arlington before starting KGM Productions, his videography, photo, audio, and drone business through which he created wedding, birthday, and special event videos, and provided audio-visual and multi-media support and productions for music/band/choir programs, entrepreneurship organizations, roofing and Realtor® associations, and many other individuals and entities.

Keith was talented in multiple areas, from drawing as a child to becoming an award-winning trumpet player in high school. He especially enjoyed the creative art of cinematography, storytelling, directing, and music and hosted annual Oscar parties for more than a decade. His favorite films included “Star Wars” (“A New Hope”), “Return of the Jedi,” “Field of Dreams,” “Rocky,” and “Heaven Can Wait.” Conversation with Keith often involved quotes from these and other movies as well as a discussion of various sporting events and teams—especially the Dallas Cowboys.

A member of Southcliff Church for more than 40 years, he served as a youth sponsor for summer camps and other events, traveled to the Holy Lands, and served as a multi-media specialist for worship services and special events.

Keith’s family extends special thanks for the incredible acts of service, dedication, and kindness from family and friends who supported Keith, especially during the last few months.
