Kele is survived by: his wife, Yvette Chang of 26 years, his four children, Isaiah, Bethany, Faith and Grace and his three precious granddaughters, Genesis Rose, Francesca Sage and Yvea Ann.
Kele loved his family more than anything in this world. There was nothing more important to him than his wife, kids and granddaughters there was nothing he wouldn't do for any of us. He spent many years coaching and supporting our children in every sport, activity, or dream they had. He could not wait for the day he would be able to coach his granddaughters in sports, especially softball. He was so proud of his family and his life reflected it daily.
For the past 15 years, Kele was a Finishing Inspector as well as an Ultrasonic Inspector for Bell Helicopter. He excelled in both capacities. After many years working as a certified Level II Penetrant and Magnetic Particle inspector in the Finishing area he was one of the first inspectors elevated to a Level III certification. As an Ultrasonic Inspector Kele often worked with Engineering to develop new inspections. About a decade ago, there was an aircraft that had a critical component in a transmission that had a bolted connection and was life limited. Kele worked with Engineers for several months and eventually developed a complex and unique inspection that was later patented in the US and internationally. A few years later Kele helped develop another new inspection and reference standard for a new commercial aircraft and a few years later repeated that activity to develop methods and standards for a new military aircraft. Kele almost always found time to help Bell grow and keep up with his daily tasks. Kele was a valued team member whose skill and passion will sorely be missed. -Robert Barry
Kele was loved by many and will never be forgotten. He was the rock of this family and his memory will forever live on in our hearts.
