Kenneth Ray Alvis

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother ... Kenneth Ray Alvis of Fort Worth, Texas will be laid to rest at National Cemetery Dallas-Fort Worth on July 10, 2018. Military honor committal service and inurnment begins promptly at 11:15 A.M. No flowers please. Though his devoted children can no more look upon his cherished face nor be comforted by his strong hands, our Daddy lives on in our hearts. We love and hold dear the lifetime of memories he made with us, and we give thanks for his many lessons that continually guide our lives. Kenneth was born October 1, 1932 and entered rest in the arms and presence of loved ones June 26, 2018, predeceased by daughter Karen Alvis Bennett of North Carolina. Kenneth, aged 85, is survived by his wife of 65 years, Tommie Holt Alvis of Texas with whom he loved and worked to make a home and legacy; son Kenneth Ray Alvis Jr. (Sam, and daughter-in-law Jill Johnson) of California; daughter Kelly Alvis Rowe Haines (son-in-law Joseph Haines) of Ontario; grandchildren Briana Bennett Edwards of North Carolina, Katrissa Bennett of North Carolina, Colton Bennett of Georgia, Tyler Alvis of California, Wyatt Alvis of California, John William Rowe Jr. of Texas, Buddy Rowe of Texas; great grandchildren Imogen Edwards of North Carolina, Reegan Russell of North Carolina, Caspian Bennett of Georgia, and Kaden Rowe of Texas; brother James Alvis (sister-in-law Frankie Sego Alvis) of Texas, sister Ruby Kay Alvis Tinelli (brother-in-law Jim Tinelli) of Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
