It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Kenneth Alan Taylor, age 66, who passed away on October 10th, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Kenny was born on April 14th, 1958, to Jodie V and Virginia Ann Harris Taylor. His father was a career Naval Officer, and the family moved frequently to whatever duty station he was assigned to, finally retiring in Stephenville, Texas. In 1976 Kenny met his soulmate. He married Beverly Ann McCameron in 1977 and the two shared 47 years of marriage.
"KT", as his close friends called him, was a hardworking professional painter respected by clients and peers, dedicating himself to doing an outstanding job, whether small or large. He was known for his big heart and sense of humor. His favorite pastime was playing his guitar and singing at our family gatherings. He loved hunting and fishing, but he enjoyed camping more than anything else.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Lynn Taylor.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Beverly and son, Brian Michael Taylor and spouse, Kelly Wright Taylor, as well as two grandchildren, Maddox and Onyx Taylor. Surviving siblings are Trudy Taylor Bostick and spouse, Ronald G Bostick, Diana Taylor Jones, David Glenn Taylor, and Sandra Taylor Evans and 11 nephews and nieces and lots of cousins.
In lieu of a memorial service at this time, we will be organizing a Celebration of Life with details to come soon.
Rest in Peace "KT".
Inurnment will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.
