Korey Lyn Ervin 28, was born to Wendy Jones and Paul Ervin on February 10, 1992 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior a an early age. Korey's Church home was Rising Star Baptist Church. He attended Eastern Hills High School and after graduating he enrolled in the U.S. Job Corps in Oklahoma where he trained in carpentry. But his love of Senior Citizens lead him to become a CNA at Rehabilitation Center. Shortly after completing his training in the U.S. Job Corp. Korey married the love of his life Keion Kelly Ervin whom he met in high school. Together they had a precious baby girl, Erin Ervin. Korey spent summers in West Texas with his maternal great grandfather who affectionately nicknamed him "Kora" and found his love of Seniors by spending time with his maternal great great grandmother who started his journey for the love of bread and potatoes (Korey referring to himself, would always say 'a fat boy loves too eat"). In addition to eating he enjoyed singing, fishing, playing video games and aggravating his siblings, nieces and nephews. When Korey was not with his wife and daughter or hanging with his brothers and close friends he visited his maternal grandparents and enjoyed playing dominoes with them. His Heavenly Father called Korey home on May 19, 2020. He was preceded in death by his son Tristian Dominic Ervin, maternal grandfather Ward Landrum, Sr. and paternal grandfather Gary Lynn Ervin.
