Longtime Fort Worth resident LD Tucker passed away quietly in his Southlake home Thursday, June 21st of natural causes. LD was born in Walters, OK, where he was one of 5 siblings. He served in the Army during the Korean War, achieving the rank of Corporal, and was a reservist of 8 years thereafter. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Fort Worth, and met and married his soul mate Janet, with whom he embarked on a lifelong journey. He remained by her side until her death in 2013. He worked as an office machine specialist for Specialty Service Company for many years prior to his retirement, and will be remembered by his customers for his dry wit and his ability to fix almost anything. He is survived by his three children: Lisa Tucker Elrod and her husband Johnny, Shelley Tucker and Barry Tucker, two grandchildren: John Elrod II and Michael Elrod, three great grandchildren: Kailey, Ashleigh, and Addisyn Elrod, and his sisters Montez Anderson and Gayle Wilkinson. His two brothers, Dale and Delwin Tucker preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at Shannon Rose Hill, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, TX Thursday, June 28th at 11:00AM with burial following at the DFW National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm.
