Larinda Geraldine Beers

Larinda Geraldine Beers went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the age of 83. Larinda was born to Monroe Bishop and Hazel Padgett Bishop in Indianapolis, Indiana. She married Luke Beers, her husband of 42 years, on December 31, 1968.

Larinda was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and blessed many families by caring for their children. Larinda had a generous heart and donated to many charities. She loved to play board games and enjoyed activities with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. If we can think of one word for Mom, it is irreplaceable. She was the strongest woman we have ever known. Her life was tough and she fought till the end. Our Mom’s love for the Lord was always put first and she was an active, faithful member of her church. Her family was everything to her and she was our biggest supporter.

Preceded in death by her husband, Luke; her mother, Hazel Walters; her father, Monroe Bishop; her daughter, Lesa Pittard; her twin sister, Linda Kennedy; her brother, Milford Bishop; and her brother, Charles Bishop.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters and son-in-law’s, Teresa & Chris Yazel, Kimberly & Stephen Faulks, and Melissa & Jason Smith; stepdaughter, Rochelle Lowery and stepson, Randy Beers. Also, survived by 8 grandchildren, Joshua Yazel, Amy & Doug Burchett, Kayla & Hutch Williams, Tyler Faulks, Hailey Smith, Connor Smith, Derek Walden and Nathan Lowery and 5 great grandchildren.

Services: Viewing will be 5 – 7 pm, Friday, May 28th, at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Rd, Ft. Worth, TX 76134; Funeral will be at 2pm, Saturday, May 29th, at Renovation Community Church of the Nazarene, 6301 Granbury Rd, Ft. Worth, TX 76133.
